Speech Improvements and Reporting Highlight iVoice™ 2.02.0 Release!
Merrimack, NH — November 29, 2002 — iMessaging Systems, Inc. announces the release of iVoice™ Version 2.02.0, interactive voice response for the iSeries (AS/400). Version 2.02.0 provides significant customer-driven improvements designed to improve iVoice™ availability, usability, development and reporting.
Significant new features with iVoice™ 2.02.0 include:
Enhanced Line Status Monitor, Improved Statistical Reporting and User-defined Call Log Variables,
which all add up to a vastly improved visibility of iVoice™ status and statistics. iVoice™ users will find these updated tools to be extremely useful in monitoring the success of iVoice™ applications, in day-to-day operations, and for future capacity planning.
Ability to record and delete caller voice messages.
This is an important feature because iVoice™ can now associate a caller’s voice message with a transaction the caller has completed. This ultimately provides more information about the caller’s transaction. For example, a customer using iVoice™ to schedule a delivery might want to include special instructions about where to leave the delivery if they are not home. Now, iVoice™ can record their comments and associate the voice message with their delivery record.
Text-to-Speech improvements, including support for multiple languages, TTS speech quality advances, and abbreviation parsing,
thanks to the addition of the new SpeechWorks Speechify 2.1 TTS software engine.
Improved iVoice™ application development with the all-new Host-based Controller simulator!
Now, iVoice™ developers can complete iVoice™ software development and testing on the AS/400 without the need for an iVoice™ controller, resulting in faster development cycles and time-to-market.
ARSTO (Automatic Redundant System Take-Over) improvements that provide enhanced iVoice™ system availability tools.
Included are the mirroring of voice files between iVoice™ controllers and the use of TCP/IP communications links between the primary and redundant controllers, providing greater security within the corporate network.
Upgrades to the iVoice™ Prompt Recording Utility,
providing the flexibility to run the utility on any compatible PC with soundcard and the ability to import .VOX and .VAP voice file formats from other IVR platforms.
