Vernon Harvey, Experienced Developer and Product Architect, Joins iMessaging Management Team

Harvey brings over 18 years of experience to iMessaging

Merrimack, NH — March 1, 2002— iMessaging Systems, Inc., a premier provider of "host-controlled" interactive voice response, email and facsimile solutions for the AS/400 (iSeries) market, today announced the appointment of Mr. Vernon Harvey as the company's Vice President of Development. Harvey, a seasoned and respected development professional with over 18 years of experience in customer-focused projects, will lead iMessaging's product development activities.

Harvey comes to iMessaging with an extensive background in PC development with particular orientation towards front-end processors interfaced to IBM midrange computers to enable advanced communications solutions. After extensive study in Computer Information Solutions at The College of New Caledonia in Prince George, British Columbia, Harvey joined Rydex Industries and initially worked on several projects involving PCs, the entire range of IBM's System/3X line and, eventually, the AS/400.

While at Rydex, Harvey was the chief architect of the company's first voice response product, which featured an entirely speech-synthesized voice. Subsequently, he produced later versions of this system incorporating digitized speech and CallerID support. Harvey has been instrumental in the development of a variety of other communications solutions involving email and facsimile, which ultimately evolved into RMTi's RMSemail, RMSautomation and RFSfax solutions.

Additionally, Harvey has worked on numerous projects in the area of ship-to-shore communications solutions and has run his own consulting firm, Lightship Technologies.

Karen Sedlar, President of iMessaging Systems, expressed her enthusiasm regarding the addition of Harvey to the team: "He brings a breadth of knowledge, a depth of experience and a high level of energy difficult to find in one person. Vernon's insights, business acumen and creative abilities are a valuable addition to our management team. We expect him to make important contributions toward our short-term goals and future growth."

Asked why he was eager to join iMessaging Systems, Harvey commented, "I missed the excitement and dynamics of a smaller, more customer-focused team. I also missed the interaction with customers and the fun of working with a team oriented to providing value-added software and hardware solutions for their customers."
